Screaming Into the Abyss

Will forever be fascinated by the intellectual contortions required to defend the founding of this country on religious principles (which it wasn't) while treating U.S. slaveholders' invoking the same Christianity they espouse to justify the ownership of human beings for profit as a historical aberration rather than a defining characteristic of that "peculiar institution."

I typed this into my FB feed, that if that platform’s algorithm were not involved, would reach all of my friends. At least five or ten would respond. But no. Silence.
