The speed at which language pulled from the vastness of A.I. has made its way into student papers is astounding. An infuriating branding term/phrase from the 1990s has found new life this term. It is not in any of the assigned materials, but shows up in about 50% of the week's submitted assignments. Aggravating.

“The concept — and the first ever power center — traces to 1986, when developer Merritt Sher opened 280 Metro Center in Colma, California, next to Interstate 280, as an open-air strip shopping center anchored by big-box stores and category killers. Colma is widely credited as the site of the world's first power center.” claude
